Liaisons to Worcester Area Intergroup serves as a conduit between local districts and Worcester Area Intergroup. A district liaison attends both District and WAI meetings to share information with each group. Both meetings are hybrid and can be attended in-person or via Zoom, and the meeting minutes can be used to report about each meeting

Currently, District 25 and District 26 have WAI liaisons. To contact the District 25 Liaison, email: D25Liaison@aaworcester.org and to contact the District 26 Liaison, email: WAILiaison@aaDistrict26.org.

As a member of the WAI delegates committee, the Liaison represents its District’s conscience and vote at WAI delegate committee meetings and decisions. The Liaison serves as a 2-way communications channel between a district and WAI in service to the local AA community.

The GSO document Intergroups or Central Office Guidelines further describes the role of Intergroups/Central Offices. A liaison typically serves for a 2-year term.
